KOS Inc. is a local 501(c)3 nonprofit learning community that transforms school break days and community classes into hands-on, skill-building experiences. We bridge the childcare and learning gap for Cobb County families by providing creative, unconventional education that empowers children and adults to rediscover their own capability.

Confidence Through Craft: Our Pillars of Learning

At KOS, we believe real-world skills are the foundation of a resilient community. Our curriculum is designed to foster autonomy and critical thinking through:

  • Youth Break Camps: Immersive STEM, carpentry, and arts programs during Cobb County school closures.

  • Adult Workshops: Monthly sessions in stand-up comedy, sewing, and professional development.

  • Guided Creative Exploration: A safe, supportive environment where "doing" leads to "knowing".

Rooted in Character & Accountability

Everything we do is built on a foundation of ethical values. We don’t just teach skills; we practice:

Truthfulness | Kindness | Responsibility | Accountability
Motivation | Integrity | Empathy

Why KOS Matters to Smyrna Families

We provide a vital community resource for working families during out-of-school time (OST). While traditional programs may close during breaks, KOS remains open to ensure your child has a safe, enriching space to grow.

  • 100% of campers use their new STEAM skills at home.

  • 93% of parents report improved social skills and empathy in their children.
