KOS Smyrna offers a bi-monthly Comedy Writer’s Room where aspiring comedians master the craft of stand-up in a collaborative, professional environment. Sponsored by the Cobb EMC Foundation, our program treats comedy as a vital art form rooted in free speech, empowering students to transform personal observations and cultural commentary into original performance material.

The Path to the Stage:
Our Monthly Showcase

Every month, the Writer’s Room culminates in the KOS Comedy Showcase. This live event provides students the opportunity to perform alongside professional instructors in front of a live Smyrna audience. For many, this marks their first booked performance—a milestone that celebrates courage, growth, and the mastery of comedic timing.
